The aim of the project was to create one or more installations related to a specific theme, that was the work, analyzed in particular in a specific location of Naples, Rione Sanità.
I started with a photographic reportage to analyze the area. Here I met street vendors, fruit sellers and artisans. Walking through the streets I came across several stalls displaying goods of all kinds: from fruit, shoes, up to the living room tents. What struck me was the simplicity, but at the same time the effectiveness of these 'temporary installations' that continually create opportunities for exchange goods and human contacts.
Another gesture and symbol that I noticed in the district is the 'panaro', very used to exchange goods directly from the balcony.
Project idea: create an iconic structure for that place, commending all the major activities.
I selected the main commercial activities, and elaborated a map, distinguishing them in the three groups: pizzerias and taverns, boutiques and crafts, desserts and various whims.
All the baskets in the map indicate a point where there is set a structure of the project, the sanitariello
All 'sanitarielli' are located on the main street of the district, and create a path not only cocettual, but also visual, guiding the visitor to discover the activities of the area, from one sanitariello to another, pushing it further and further inside the district.
